πŸ”³InkLink

Share and reuse templates across projects or with the community.

Custom templates are a part of Fortelling Pro

InkLink is the connection between your ideas and the community. It lets you share your templates with others and download templates made by fellow writers and roleplayers. Think of it as a marketplace where you exchange creative blueprints instead of starting from scratch.

InkLink makes collaboration easy. You can:

  • Share a template you designed (for example, a wizard character sheet or a custom location template)

  • Download templates created by other writers and game masters

  • Keep your local copy updated when the creator makes changes

  • Save private templates and use them across your own projects without publishing them

  1. Open your project and go to Settings

  2. Under Story Elements, select Tools

  3. Choose the element type (for example, Locations or Characters)

  4. Press the + bar and select Template

  5. Tap Browse InkLink to enter the marketplace

From here, you can explore community templates or access your own private ones.

  1. Create or open a template in your project

  2. Open Template Settings

  3. Select Submit to InkLink

  4. Add a name and description for your template

  5. Decide if you want to keep it private (only visible to you) or make it public for others

  6. Save your changes

Your template now appears in InkLink, ready for you or others to use.

Private templates

You don’t have to share everything. If you mark a template as private, you can still access it in InkLink across your own projects. This is useful for personal systems like custom stats, unique worldbuilding categories, or house rules in tabletop play.

InkLink currently supports templates, but future updates will expand the feature to include tools, tables, and story elements. This means you will be able to share entire systems, story mechanics, or worldbuilding elements across projects without rewriting them.

Tips and tricks

  • Tag your templates with clear names and descriptions so others know exactly how to use them

  • Use InkLink to collaborate with friends on shared campaigns or co-written stories

  • Keep a library of private templates to speed up worldbuilding across multiple projects

  • Update your published templates regularly so anyone using them can stay in sync

Conclusion

InkLink turns templates into shareable resources. Whether you want to keep your work private across projects or contribute to the wider community, InkLink ensures your creative tools never stay locked away.
