# Fortelling 5.1

How to organize your story elements as an author? You can organize your story by color-coding your story elements. Check out the new advanced labeling system in Fortelling latest update.

## Fortelling 5.1 release notes

Labels are an important part of organizing your project. You can organize by color and group them into categories for easier searching later. Want to see everything that's in a draft? Create a label called “draft”. Now you have more color-coding options to organize your story.

* **New:** More styling options for labels: add an icon, select a gradient, and choose between a filled or outlined style for your labels
* **New:** Re-order labels in the label selector or on the story element page by long-pressing and dragging them to a new position
* **New:** Drag to re-order labels in the story element header view, and for labels in scenes, timeline events, and files
* **New:** Re-order images of story elements
* New: Occasional tooltips for new features
* **Improved:** Label selector no longer requires you to press save after selecting labels; they are now saved automatically
* **Improved:** Filter will now stay active on story element lists when you return later

<figure><img src="https://1916472331-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFR1c40OqcLTLBKjzbDgF%2Fuploads%2F59J6v4m3FpEP7WdYDCGV%2Forganize%20Fortelling.webp?alt=media&amp;token=7691cc68-93f2-4c0c-b407-26b04e138720" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Organize labels with folders.

Give personality to your label folders!

<figure><img src="https://1916472331-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFR1c40OqcLTLBKjzbDgF%2Fuploads%2Fm4z0YSnKrDtu95lRmrLF%2FFortelling%205.1%20folders%20(2).webp?alt=media&amp;token=9c202d46-9467-4dc0-b723-77b7f29b9acd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://1916472331-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FFR1c40OqcLTLBKjzbDgF%2Fuploads%2FBJbMHPAYjPBYLyuepAIh%2Fstory%20family%20tree%20fortelling.webp?alt=media&amp;token=03497dd3-b63f-4be4-b02d-a8a9e64517fb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The new board type is here. The community voted the family tree as the most-requested feature. You can track your character dynasties. View characters per generation. We have also made things easier by giving you the option to create characters on the spot without the need to leave your board. Test it, it's soo smooth.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can draw, add stickers, and export boards as PNG or PDF only in the family tree tool.

* [x] Cumulative word count: how many words have you written in total for this book? See how your writing has progressed over time.
* [x] Total reading time of a book
* [x] Total speaking time of a book
