# Copy of Writing goals

## Writing logbook

The Logbook serves as your personal narrative of the writing process. Instead of just numbers, it captures the context of your productivity. Always fun to look back and reflect.

* Location: Open the statistics section and navigate to the Logbook tab. You will also see your total words displayed there.
* Action: Tap the plus button to add a new daily entry.
* Collaboration: Co-authors can log their individual progress, which the app automatically aggregates into a project-wide overview.
* Context: Use the comment field to describe your session.

## Writing Statistics

{% hint style="info" %}
All statistics are automated, and word count is available after the 5.0 update.
{% endhint %}

You can view graphs and info about your writing progress on the statistics tab. You can set daily goals and an overall goal for the entire book. This is synchronized between the web and mobile devices. This is perfect for setting goals and seeing your progress.

## Writing Reminders

### How to create a habit for writing

Building a consistent writing habit is the hardest part of being an author. The Writing Reminders feature is designed to act as a daily "portal" into your story, providing the nudge you need to step away from the real world and back into your universe. (Especially useful if you have ADHD or get distracted easily)

### The Motivational Portal

* Dynamic Messaging: Each reminder features a different motivational prompt designed to spark your imagination and pull you back into your lore.
* Consistency Booster: These reminders are the primary tool for maintaining your Writing Streak and hitting your Daily Goals.

### Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to activate your daily portal.

1. Access the Menu: From the Projects Overview screen, tap the three lines (hamburger menu) in the top corner.
2. Select Writing Reminder: Navigate to the Writing Reminder option within the menu list.
3. Choose Your Rhythm: Select a pre-set schedule (like Early Bird) or tap Custom to define your own specific time and days.
4. Save Your Portal: Once set, the app will handle the rest, ensuring you never miss a chance to grow your story.

## Widgets to track your goals

You can keep track of all your goals by adding widgets to your mobile homescreen. These are going to be your new portals to your universe. See your own growth and progress through time and use it as motivation.
