The new chapter of Fortelling.

What's new in Fortelling 4.2

We've made Fortelling even more powerful and easier to use with this update. Whether you're organizing your story world, managing research files, or streamlining your workflow, version 4.2 brings features that help you work faster and smarter.

Enhanced files tool

The files tool has received a major upgrade in this version. You can now add images directly to your notes, upload multiple files at once, and view your files in new ways that make organization effortless.

Add images to notes

Your notes can now include images alongside your text. This is perfect for visual reference or any research material that benefits from visual context.

Upload multiple images at once

Gone are the days of uploading files one by one. You can now select and upload multiple images simultaneously, dramatically speeding up your workflow when adding research materials or reference images.

Name and label images immediately after upload

When you upload an image or download one from Pexels, you can now name it and add a label right away. No more going back later to organize unnamed files, you can keep everything tidy from the moment you add it.

Grid view and list view

You can now choose how you want to see your files. Grid view gives you a visual overview that's perfect for images and visual research, while list view provides a compact, detailed look at all your files.

Click on any folder containing images and you can now view all images in a gallery format. This feature is ideal when you want to browse through all your character references, location photos, or inspiration images without opening each file individually.

Select and manage multiple files

File management is now much more efficient. You can select multiple files at once and delete or move them all in a single action, saving you time when reorganizing your project.

File extensions now visible

The info sheet for each file now displays the file extension. This helps you quickly identify file types and ensures you're opening the right file for your needs.

PDF preview in the app for Pro users

You no longer need to leave Fortelling to view PDF files. Preview your PDFs directly in the app, whether they're research papers, style guides, or reference documents.
